Home Sweet Home

After having recently redecorated my home, I feel serenity and comfort. It's amazing at what a little change in a color scheme can do to elevate your mood and state of mind. Being a stay at home mom my office is my home and having light and metallic colors have made me feel a lot more comfortable, happy and proud of my home and surroundings. I also took up the hobby of crafting a lot of my home decor which I find to be a great hobby and coping mechanism for depression and anxiety.

Welcome to my Serenity

A place to hang your keys

I've lived in four different countries and have traveled all over the world. I love traveling and discovering new places and cultures which has made me who I am and inspired my home.

This stylish and convenient inexpensive gold tray is from the West Elm and keeps my current magazine editions in place along with my TV remotes and a potted lavender plant I purchased off from Target.

I love finding grey inexpensive decorative accessories at TheWorld Market or Marshals. I also get a few accessories from my subscription boxes like POPSUGAR Must Have, Mommy  Mailbox, and Serendipity by Little Lace Box.  I used a glue gun to attach the metallic letters onto a gold spray painted woodensigb to create this custom sign that hangs above my bay window.

I wanted something light and fresh and chose this light blue and ivory rug from Nordstrom and added new pillow covers from Target and West Elm. The trays are also from Weat Elm and under $50 and are a great way to keep magazines and drinks on the couch and ottoman.

This mirrored and gold plated tray is from the World Market along with the decorative accents and candles. I wanted to create a simple upgrade to my bay window.

This picture frame came in one of my limited edition POPSUGAR boxes and is such a breathtaking beautiful piyframe made in Greece. I also like keeping indoor plants that are easy to care for as I do not have much of a green thumb.

The Master Bedroom

These butterflies stick onto the wall and I love how I created a cluster of flying butterflies to frame my large white framed mirror. I crafted the letters using supplies I purchased at Michael's. I absolutely love the Martha Stewart acrylic paints and the beautiful metallic colors are my favorite. I just painted these wooden letters that cost me under $4 and placed them on my mirrors ledge.

I got this silver cart from World Market and added some picture frames I either crafted myself or that I purchased for under $10 at Marshals.

I used a poster frame and some metallic sharpies to turn this poster frame into a silver color. I love Marilyn Monroe and fell in love with this beautiful and peaceful looking picture.
The arrow I purchased at Michael's and used a metallic silver spray paint can to convert it into this metallic silver color.

I wanted to create a peaceful outdoor ambience and purchased plants from the Home Depot and with this pot stand that cost me under $15. The pot was a simple clay color which I painted using a metallic champagne paint with a paint roller. I used some battery operated fairy lights from Marshals that cost me $6 and rung them along the interior of the pot and along the outside connecting to another identical plant.
